The Sylhet Agricultural University and Sylhet Engineering College are both close to the Tilagarh Ecopark, which is located in a reserve forest. Locals refer to the location as "Aloor Tol - আলুর তল" frequently. There used to be virtually limited access to the large forest and an extremely dense forest. The area's unaltered, naturally created forest with tree canopies and hillocks was a favorite among locals. The environment used to drastically change as soon as you arrived at the Aloor Tol region. The gorgeous dense forest with a variety of mature trees and hillocks becomes more and more engulfing the deeper you go.

The government has since shown interest in it and taken action to protect this exceptional biodiverse forest. In 2006, Tilagarh Eco Parks were built on 112 acres of woodland. The Sylhet Forest Department, Ministry of Environment and Forest, is responsible for this ecopark initiative. An eco park's primary goals include the preservation and development of nearly extinct and rare plant species, the protection and enhancement of current plant and animal life, the breeding and advancement of indigenous plant species through integrated management, the preservation of the local environment and the socioeconomic advancement of the local populace, the growth of the planned ecotourism sector, and the provision of opportunities for study and research. Nine ecoparks have been established by the Department of Forest in different parts of Bangladesh, taking into account their unique natural features and characteristics including location. These include the Bashkhali Ecopark, the Madhavkundo Ecopark, the Madhutila Ecopark, the Sitakunda Botanical Garden and Ecopark, the Tilagarh Ecopark, the Jafflong Garden Park, and the Barshijora Ecopark.

"Numerous species of animals can be spotted in the wild at Tilagarh Ecopark. Foxes, monkeys, jackel, rabbits, pandas, Mathura (Chrysolophus), entellus, and other animals are among them. Additionally, you can find Mayna, parakeets, doves, Haridas, and other varieties of birds here."

Tilagarh Eco Park makes it possible to appreciate the natural beauty of the jungles and learn about their ecology firsthand, which contributes to raising public awareness of the importance of preserving bio-diversity.

Unfortunately, Tilagarh Eco Park utterly failed to raise awareness of bio-diversity of the Eco Park among the general people. The relevant information about the Eco Park is not provided by even a single interpretation display board or information location! Additionally, it has failed to maintain its individuality and natural attractiveness! The beauty and authenticity of this incredible biodiverse ecosystem are currently being hampered by the presence of numerous residential units, government office buildings, college campuses, and universities.

In the park, there is a restroom, a picnic area, and a kids' area. These are intended to be, after all. Children's Corner needs urgent repairs because it is now unfit for kids.

In an effort to boost tourism in Sylhet and increase the number of visitors, the government built a wildlife conservation centre in the Tilagarh Eco Park in 2018. The Wildlife Conservation Centre was constructed carelessly, which is bad for the Eco Park. Animal sightings are quite rare at the Wildlife Conservation Centre!

You must pay to see this natural beauty; entry to the environmental park is not free.

The place is adorned with greenery. Some wild life like deer, peacock, macaw, python, zebra can be seen.

If authority stops motorized vehicles in the road inside, it will become a serenity.

This is park of the most prestigious residential area of Bangladesh. Great place for amusement. Very well planned and execution has been done with out of the box ideas. The park has all, what one can cherish from a park. Words are not enough to describe the beauty, ome must pay a visit and spend few hours to grasp all it has to offer. If you go there you can realized the beauty of nature.

A great place to spend some quality time with nature. You'll find some of the sitting places near the jangle which could help you feel the surrounding and it can be a great recreational thing to do. This place also has some wild animals in captivity so you could watch them from a safe distance.
