Without any hazard stepped to the aircraft through domestic lounge. In the lounge good facilities for washroom and prayer. There is a big screen to pass the time. Overall good experience.

After Dhaka and Chittagong, Osmani Airport in Sylhet, Bangladesh, is the country's third-largest airport. The national airline, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, uses the airport, which is run by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).  Domestic flights from private airlines Novoair and US-Bangla Airlines go to Dhaka. During the British era of administration over the Indian Subcontinent, Osmani International Airport was constructed in part to deter Japanese assault from Burma during second world war. The airport was once known as Sylhet Civil Airport but was renamed in 1971 to honor General M. A. G. Osmani, who served as Commander in Chief of both the Bangladesh Independence War and the Muktijuddho campaign.

This airport is one of the few beautiful places in Sylhet. Where domestic flights and other flights take place. A beautiful airport.

The only airport in Sylhet district. It’s not a busy airport. Unfortunately there are very few international flights available from this airport. The people of Sylhet have to travel to Dhaka to international flights.
