Rocket ghat is situated near Buriganga bridge at Sadarghat area of Babu bazaar of Dhaka. Sadarghat area is about 200 metre away from here. Though the services of the paddle steamers is not functional anymore, you can see the historic paddle steamers like PS Turn, Masud, Lepcha etc. and scenic beauty of Buriganga and the mesmerising sunset over Buriganga river from here.

Yes, it's a historical paddle ⛵ from British period but currently out of commission. The place is extremely crowded, chaotic and dirty as it's a hub for wholesale fruits market. So, if you want to plan to visit this place, you'd be better off choosing a different place.

The Rocket runs from Barisal’s Rocket Ghat to either Dhaka, in one direction, or Morrelganj in the other. It used to run all the way to Khulna, but silting of the riverbed has made the river too shallow for the vessel to travel beyond Morrelganj.
